Nationwide
Wherever your family is, the next right step can start with one call.
Transcend Interventions is based in New Jersey and serves families nationwide. Family consultations and preparation are often provided by phone or video, and the intervention itself is done in person, with travel arranged.
Addiction doesn’t respect distance. Families are often spread across states — a parent in one place, siblings in others, and a loved one somewhere else entirely. That can make it feel impossible to act together.
It isn’t. Much of the most important work of an intervention — understanding the situation, aligning the family, preparing messages and boundaries, and researching treatment — can happen remotely. The intervention is done in person, and travel is arranged.
Families call us from across the country when…
- Relatives live in different states
- A loved one refuses treatment far from home
- Local options feel limited or unfamiliar
- They want an experienced, independent perspective
- Travel for treatment may make sense
- They need a plan quickly

How nationwide work comes together
- Remote discovery call and consultation — a confidential conversation to understand what’s happening and whether we can help
- Remote family preparation — video sessions that prepare everyone, wherever they live
- Treatment guidance — identifying appropriate care, in-state or out of state, and planning admission and travel
- In-person or remote intervention — based on safety, logistics and what will work best for your loved one
- Ongoing support — family guidance and recovery coaching that continue from a distance
Families in Pennsylvania, Florida and beyond
We previously published separate pages for Pennsylvania and Florida. Families in those states — and every other — are served through this nationwide approach, with location, timing, travel and availability discussed during your consultation.
For free, confidential treatment referral in any state, the SAMHSA National Helpline is available 24/7 at 1-800-662-4357.
The process
What working with Transcend looks like
Every plan is shaped around your family. This is the general path — and it always begins with a short, confidential conversation.
- 1
A brief discovery call
A confidential 10–15 minute conversation to understand where your family is.
- 2
Family consultation
A deeper look at history, safety concerns and who is ready to be involved.
- 3
A personalized plan
The right approach for your family, with everyone prepared for their role.
- 4
The invitation to change
A compassionate, carefully prepared conversation — with a plan for yes, and for not yet.
- 5
Treatment and ongoing support
Help moving into care, and steady guidance for the family afterward.
My family reached out to Joe and his team during one of the hardest times in our lives. From the very beginning, they gave us the guidance, support, and confidence we needed to better understand addiction and begin rebuilding our family. Their compassion, availability, and ongoing support helped us navigate difficult situations and gave us hope for a brighter future. I would highly recommend Transcend Interventions to any family struggling with addiction.

Common questions
Questions families ask
Do you work with families outside New Jersey and New York?
Yes. Transcend serves families nationwide. Consultations and preparation are often remote, and the intervention itself is done in person, with travel arranged.
Can an intervention be done remotely?
Much of the preparation can be done remotely. Whether the intervention itself should be in person or remote depends on your family’s situation, and we’ll discuss it with you.
Should my loved one travel for treatment?
Sometimes distance from familiar people and places helps; sometimes staying close to home is better. We help families weigh that decision with appropriate clinical input.
